The origins of the present day PAPRIMUR S.L. go back to the 1920s, when the patriarch of the family, Mr. José Sánchez Borja, making the most of the economic climate of the time, starting selling paprika, lemons and figs.
During the post-war period in Spain in the 1940s, his son, and father of the current chairman, concentrated exclusively on selling paprika and introduced a new range of products and spices.
During the 1960s, the present owner, Mr. Manuel Sánchez Muñoz, continued to market the same products while PAPRIMUR S.L´s commercial expansion across Spain began. They built their first facilities in Cabezo de Torres, which were to continue to operate there over the following 30 years. After his sons, Mr. Alberto Sánchez Franco and Mr. Manuel Sánchez Franco, joined the company in 1992, a new era commenced for PAPRIMUR S.L. in which the old plant was extended and its commercial expansion into overseas markets began.
Finally, in 2009, when the company was well established and it had become one of the most dynamic and fastest growing companies in the industry, PAPRIMUR S.L. opened its new factory in the town of Fortuna (Murcia) with a built area covering over 8,000 m² and a total surface area occupying 25,000 m². PAPRIMUR S.L. continued to grow, adapting to new market conditions and to the quality criteria being enforced throughout the world.
