Cardamom is the dried fruit of the species Elettaria cardamomum. The seeds are inside a pod which contains around 6-8 brownish-black round and very aromatic seeds. The pods are green to pale leather, 2-3 cm long and 1 cm wide. The seeds are 0.25 cm long.
