Spearmint or Green mint (Mentha spicata) is an herbaceous plant around 30 cm tall, aromatic, belonging to the Lamiaceae family. The stems are square-shaped, the pale green leaves have a serrated margin and pointed tips, and are very aromatic, mainly due to their content in essential oils, like carvone.
