Coriander is an annual plant belonging to the Umbeliferae family (Coriandrum sativum). It is the only spice in the Coriandrum genus. It is usually commercialized as fresh leaves or as dried seeds. The seeds emit a citric flavor when they are milled. It is widely used in recipes and in the food industry (meat, alcoholic beverages, etc)
